LGS NHL Power Rankings
for the Week Ending 11/14
11/15/2021 - By LGS Staff
The staff writers at LetsGoSharks.com submit their league rankings each week, and we average submissions for each team. Here are the LGS NHL Power Rankings for this week:

Rank Rank Last Week Team Record Last 10 The Skinny
1 1 10-2-3 5-2-3 Three losses in four games should have bumped the Panthers from the top spot, but their white hot start provided enough buffer to keep them at the top of the mountain.
2 2 11-2-0 8-2-0 The Canes have had a monster couple of weeks and could easily be in the top spot on the rankings.
3 3 10-3-0 7-3-0 They’re playing well, but need a goalie. One with a short contract.
4 6 10-4-0 6-4-0 The Wild have won 5 of 6 games in November.
5 9 10-5-1 8-2-0 The Leafs will continue to rack up Regular season points. Their real story will be written in April.
6 10 8-2-4 5-2-3 The Caps probably warranted a bigger slip this week but everyone around them stumbled too.
7 8 8-3-3 7-1-2 There's something cooking in Winnipeg. This is a silently solid squad.
8 4 8-3-2 5-3-2 The Blues slip two spots after a mediocre week.
9 7 8-3-3 6-2-2 Is it possible that firing the GM and Coach last season was the right move?
10 5 7-3-4 5-2-3 Inconsistency results in a big slip this week.
11 19 9-5-1 8-1-1 The Preds make one of the biggest moves in the rankings, having won 8 of their last 10 games.
12 11 7-3-3 5-2-3 The Lightning hold posistion evven though they had a weak week.
13 20 9-6-0 8-2-0 Zombie season due to injuries. But how will they pay all these guys when they’re healthy
14 24 8-4-3 6-1-3 Breaking away from the pack at the bottom of the Pacific. Who needs a bad GM, anyway
15 14 7-4-2 5-4-1 Midpack week, midpack ranking. The talent is there, but the consistency isn't.
16 21 7-4-2 5-3-2 The Devils started to show signs of life, then back to back losses over the weekend reminded us that they have a way to go.
17 25 8-6-2 5-4-1 Still believing in Stevie Y. maybe with reason? They emerged from a tough stretch of 5 games in 9 days with 4 wins.
18 12 7-5-0 6-4-0 The B's are starting to show signs of life, but they're still in the midfield
19 26 8-5-2 7-2-1 The Kings have won 7 of their last 8 games and suddenly emerge as a contender in the West.
20 16 7-5-0 5-5-0 They parlayed a 5 day break into back to back losses over the weekend. It's been an up and down season for Columbus so far this season.
21 17 5-4-2 5-3-2 Limping home, but you can't write a team off until they lose (or play!) on home ice.
22 22 6-5-1 5-4-1 When MacKinnon gets back, watch out. They combined for 13 goals in their last two games.
23 13 7-6-1 3-6-1 Sharks started off the week with a fine win in Calgary, then followed it with duds in Winnipeg and Colorado. This Sharks team is better than last year but it still may not be enough to make the post season.
24 15 5-4-4 3-4-3 Who are the Penguins? We won't know until Crosby and Malkin actually play some game.
25 18 6-6-2 3-5-2 Aaron Dell gets a start, no help
26 23 5-6-2 4-4-2 Can you loan us Pavelski? You’re not doing anything with him.
27 27 5-8-2 3-6-1 Things aren't very fun in Western Canada right now. With the Oilers and Flames performing, the Canucks are going to get forgotten by the Canadian press.
28 29 4-9-1 2-7-1 COVID problems, sounds familiar?
29 31 4-9-2 4-5-1 Three straight wins and suddenly all the nightmare news that was coming out of the Windy City starting to vanish in the rear view mirror.
30 30 4-10-2 3-5-2 The long season in La Belle Provance continues.
31 28 4-10-1 3-7-0 The Kraken are starting to understand what a real expansion team is supposed to endure in their infancy.
32 32 1-13-1 1-9-0 A WINNN! Finally. Still firmly rooted in our ranking basement.
