Rank Team Record Last 10 The Skinny
5-0-0 5-0-0 Is Florida for real? Guess we'll find out. Wins over Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay and Colorado are no joke.
5-0-0 5-0-0 The power play has been on fire. Three wins have come against underachieving teams like Vegas and Calgary.
4-0-0 4-0-0 Surprise of the season so far. They've outscored their opponents 18-6 in their 4 wins.
4-1-0 4-1-0 Sufferred heir first loss on Sunday. Three of their four wins have come against the bottom end of the Pacific Division.
4-0-0 4-0-0 Needed a year to regroup. No one-goal wins for a Blues team that has been putting the puck in the net.
3-1-0 3-1-0 The B's have been money at home.
4-1-1 4-1-1 Will the hot start hold? Year of underachieving have to pay off sooner or later, right?
3-0-2 3-0-2 No Crosby, Malkin, or Letang? No problem
3-0-2 3-0-2 These guys love hockey so much they like playing in OT as much as possible
4-1-0 4-1-0 Who saw this start? Not you. Now they need to beat a U.S. based team. All four wins have come against Canadian teams.
2-2-1 2-2-1 Rough start for a preseason favorite
3-2-1 3-2-1 Essentially a .500 record, all on the road. This team will benefit once they get home.
2-2-1 2-2-1 Stenley Cup hangovers are nothing new, but this roster is too good to linger midpack for long.
2-1-1 2-1-1 The Flames will likely climb once they start to play more games.
3-1-1 3-1-1 Overachiving or are they actually a real threat this season. Time will tell.
3-1-0 3-1-0 See: Sharks, re: expectations. This team with Jack Hughes (2 goals already) and Dougie Hamilton is picked to do nothing this season.
3-2-0 3-2-0 The Stars have gone .500 on the road and will get a chance to rack up points at home.
2-3-1 2-3-1 Fans are already calling for a coaching change.
3-2-0 3-2-0 Columbus has taken advantage of a home heavy start to the season.
2-3-0 2-3-0 The Jekyl & Hyde Avalanche have to decide if they're for real or not.
3-2-1 3-2-1 Isles will be fine. Just gotta survive until they get into theri new arena.
1-4-0 1-4-0 Yes, they traded the wrong goalie and fired the wrong coach
2-3-0 2-3-0 This franchise can't hold on to talent long enough to let them build. Management needs more patience.
2-2-1 2-2-1 They signed Martin Jones to improve their goaltending??!!
2-3-1 2-3-1 Two wins is actually a plus for this aged lineup that is in need of an overhaul.
3-2-1 3-2-1 Wings off to a better start than many expected. The long rebuild may finally start to pay dividends.
1-3-1 1-3-1 The Kings just can't string together wins, and they will hover near the basement all season because if it.
1-4-1 1-4-1 Kraken coming back down to earth after all the hoopla of their unveiling has worn off.
2-4-0 2-4-0 Preds have been terrible at home and if you can't win at home, you're not going to be challenging anyone.
1-5-0 1-5-0 How this team won a game is bewildering. They are bad bad bad.
0-5-1 0-5-1 Fleury will give the fans a reason to pay attention as long as he is healthy
0-4-1 0-4-1 This is only the start of what will be a long painful season for the Coyotes.
