/10/2022 - By LGS Staff
The staff writers at LetsGoSharks.com submit their league rankings each week, and we average submissions for each team. Here are the LGS NHL Power Rankings for this week:

Rank Rank Last Week Team Record Last 10 The Skinny
3 23-7-5 6-3-1 Back to being on a roll. The Panthers can beat you many different ways.
1 24-7-2 8-1-1 Hurricanes finally slip out of the top spot.
5 23-9-5 6-3-1 The Lightning are slowly reviving their Championship caliber play.
2 20-7-9 4-3-3 A rough start to the year sees the Caps slip a bit.
4 22-8-3 6-2-2 So Nick Ritchie was a bust. The Leafs don't need him as this roster is solid.
6 23-9-4 5-4-1 The Rangers finally cool off a bit.
7 23-14-1 6-3-1 Eichel watch continues-who goes when he comes back? Place your bets!
9 23-11-2 8-1-1 A monster 10 game stretch nets them a spot in the rankings.
10 20-9-5 9-1-0 Picking up steam as we head to February. Things starting to gel for the Pens.
12 21-8-2 9-1-0 Looking stronger and stronger each week.
8 20-10-5 7-2-1 7 wins in 10 games means nothing when evveryone around you is winning 9 of 10.
11 21-10-2 5-4-1 Welcome back to reality Minny. It was a nice run, up their at the top of the standings.
13 17-10-6 3-6-1 Forty points, but only 33 games played.
14 18-12-7 4-4-2 Vegas has competition in the Pacific, again
17 18-11-2 6-3-1 They'll go as far as the Perfection Line can drag them.
18 17-13-5 6-3-1 Time to start tkaing the young Kings seriously.
16 16-12-5 5-4-1 A midfield team that can't decide what it wants.
15 18-14-2 2-6-2 The ship is starting to take on water. Tossing Coach Tippett overboard may be the first step.
20 17-12-2 5-5-0 Big questions in Big D. Do they go all in or trade off expiring contracts? The contract impass with Klingberg also looms large.
19 16-15-3 8-1-1 Games paused due to Revenue loss in part capacity arenas?! You'd think ownership would realize they'll make more money in the playoffs and this stoppage jeopardizes their roll.
21 19-16-1 5-5-0 Tomas Hertl continues to produce driving up his price - either as a resign or a rental.
22 16-16-3 3-7-0 How long before Wings fans get tired of Stevie Y's rebuild?
23 16-16-1 3-6-1 The BJs continue to slip.
25 10-12-6 5-2-3 Win the games in hand and they're 5th in the Metro! The bad news is that might not be good enough for a playoff spot.
24 14-17-5 4-6-0 Still languishing in the land of mediocre hockey.
26 13-15-7 4-3-3 Things going from bad to worse in Philly. Mike Yeo's departure hasn't given the Flyers the Canucks jump management was hoping for.
27 12-18-5 3-4-3 Fleury has his bags packed
28 10-18-6 2-5-3 Eichel's departure not benefitting the Sabres in any way shape or form.
30 10-19-4 5-4-1 Kraken fans realizing these ain't the Golden Knights, losing Brandon Tanev is a blow
29 9-18-2 5-4-1 Not a bad team, just not good enough to warrant any serious consideration.
31 7-23-4 1-7-2 Will they ever play again? Will it even matter?
32 7-23-3 2-7-1 Out of sight, out of mind.
