| Has imposing size
for a goaltender, and plays a standup style. Performed very well as the backup
to Sharks prospect Dimitri Pätzold for Germany at the 2003 WJC, recording
a 1.57 goals-against average, .954 save percentage and one shutout. Appeared in
four games in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga for the Hannover Scorpions in
2002-03, but played mainly in Division I for Landshut. Has seen his draft stock
rise over the course of the last year, mainly due to his International
performance. |
