Adam Mair - Los Angeles
Kings Mair was suspended for 10 games without pay Friday, the only
player to get a suspension for his team's brawl with the Ottawa Senators.
Mair will lose $25,086. He will be eligible to return to the Kings
lineup Jan. 15 against Nashville. He got an automatic 10-game ban for leaving
the bench during the fight Thursday night. The teams totaled 174 penalty
minutes during the fight with 5:22 left in the period.
Mair received 47
minutes -- a fighting major, instigator penalty, a misconduct and three game
misconducts. One of those misconducts was assessed under Rule 72. It states
that "no player may leave the players' or penalty bench at any time during an
altercation or for the purpose of starting an altercation." The rule includes
an automatic 10-game suspension.
